Bio

Marinos Koutsomichalis (b. Athens, Greece 1981).

Active internationally in both academic and non academic milieus, Marinos Koutsomichalis is being working as an artist since the mid '00s using a variety of mediums - loudspeakers, programming languages, acoustic instruments, modular synthesizers, domestic appliances or environmental recordings amongst others. He is primary interested in sound. Hitherto, he has performed and exhibited works internationally in acclaimed galleries, academias, festivals, churches, independent venues, etc and has released albums in variety of labels that were met with enthusiasm by critics worldwide. He has collaborated with Z'EV, Francisco Lopez, Robiin McGinley, Marc Behrens, Kasper T. Toeplitz and many others in various projects. He has lectured at the Technical University of Crete and at the Centre of Contemporary Music Research (KSYME).
