Sound, Space, Time & Perception

The way sound matter occupies and interacts with space, time and individual perception is my major interest. My research is concerned in both technique and aesthetics.

my main research topics:

  • The physicality of sound and how it interacts with surrounding architecture and the human body.
  • Altering mental/emotional states and consciousness. How sound affects other perceptual modalities.
  • How to efficiency enact areas of different sonority within a given time-space (sonorous geographies).
  • Juxtaposing acoustic spaces and multi-speaker rigs.
  • Regular and irregular 3d multi-speaker configurations, ambisonics, Vbap and non conventional speaker placement, binaural/headphone image interacting with 3d acoustic space, etc.
  • Psychoacoustics, phenomenology, auditory scene analysis.

All these topics are explored pragmatically through intuitive live performances or installation work (check the works page).
